Summer Student – Project Officer
The New Brunswick Federation of Labour (NBFL), the central voice of organized labour in the province, is hiring a summer student to assist with the organization and management of a public awareness campaign and administering the organization’s scholarship program.
-Compile a contact list for outreach purposes;
-Assist in the development of campaign tools;
-Outreach to union members to promote the campaign;
-Assist in the administration of the NBFL’s scholarship program;
-Other related tasks as assigned.
-Meet the Canada Summer Jobs Program eligibility criteria of:
- Between the ages of aged 15 to 30 years who are full-time students intending to return to their studies in the next school year;
- Canadian citizen, a permanent resident or a person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act;
- Legally entitled to work in Canada un accordance with relevant New Brunswick legislation and regulations.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both official languages;
-Preferred fields of study: political science, communications, sociology and social work;
-Knowledge and interest in the labour movement;
-Demonstrated computer skills with Microsoft Office;
-Ability to work autonomously.
