From July 17 to 19th, the New Brunswick Federation of Labour is hosting Federation of Labour presidents from across Canada in Saint Andrews New Brunswick, as Canada’s Premiers meet during the Council of the Federation meetings. Federation of Labour Presidents will discuss common issues that impact workers across all jurisdictions, including: intimate partner violence leave, pharmacare, legalization of recreational cannabis and procurement as a community benefit.

Two events during the Federation of Labour Presidents meetings are open to the media:

Discussion: Implications for workers, employers and unions of legalization of recreational cannabis
What: Presentation by legal firm Pink Larkin, followed by Q&A and discussion
When: Wednesday July 18th from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Where: Paturel Room, Huntsman Fundy Discovery Centre, 1 Lower Campus Rd. St Andrews
