NBFL Young Workers Conference
April 13-14, 2018 Day’s Inn & Suites, Moncton
Theme: Together for a Better New Brunswick: The Future Today
Format – Conference sessions will take the form of plenary sessions, guest speakers and workshops. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided.
Registration – Registration is open to NBFL affiliates. The registration fee is $125.00 for affiliates and $150 for non-affiliates to the NBFL. Cheques should be made payable to the New Brunswick Federation of Labour with a footnote Young Workers Conference. The deadline to receive registration and payment is Friday March 23, 2018.
ACCOMMODATIONS– Rooms have been blocked off at the Day’s Inn & Suites Moncton until March 13th. The rate before taxes is $119 and breakfast is included in that price. Please call the hotel directly at 1-506-384-1050 and indicate that you are attending the NBFL Young Workers’ Conference.
Child Care – Child Care is available on site for participants’ children. It is free of charge and it will be provided by professional and trained childcare providers. For organizational purposes, the deadline to register for childcare is Friday March 23, 2018.
Non-Perishable food: As per a resolution adopted at the last NBFL Convention, it would be greatly appreciated if those attending could bring non-perishable food items.

The New Brunswick Federation of Labour’ Young Workers Committee will be holding a Young Workers Conference. The theme of the conference is “For a Better New-Brunswick: The Future Today.”
The conference will be held at the Day’s Inn & Suites Moncton, 2515 Mountain Road in Moncton on Friday April 13th and Saturday April 14th 2018. Registration will begin at 12:00 noon and the conference will begin at 1:00 p.m. on April 13. The conference is open to young workers aged 35 years or younger.
We are asking affiliates of the New Brunswick Federation of Labour (NBFL) to please send your Young Workers to this Conference. We will be having Guest Speakers and panel discussions. Topics will include engaging young workers in union activities, the gig economy and precarious work. Participants will be introduced to the economic realities of young workers today and gain knowledge on the issues that affect young workers.
