Venue Change: Legends Restaurant, 377 Killam Dr. Moncton, NB
Format: All are welcome to attend the Gala on February 17th 2018, with a reception and cash bar at 5:30 and Gala starting at 6:00pm. We will have a banquet dinner, guest speakers and we will announce the recipients of the Woman in Leadership awards for 2017 and 2018.

Non-perishable food: As per a resolution adopted at our last Convention, it would be greatly appreciated if those attending could bring non-perishable food items.
Nominations for NBFL Women in Leadership Award
Sisters and Brothers,
The New Brunswick Federation of Labour’s Women Committee is inviting nominations for the Women in Leadership Award. Two nominees will be accepted, one for 2017 and one for 2018.
The Women in Leadership Award provides official recognition to a deserving Sister, affiliated to the NBFL, who is currently serving the trade union movement in a leadership role, with distinction and in doing so, is making a significant and lasting contribution to the promotion of the principles and policies of her Union, her local, the NBFL, CLC or district labour councils and, to the advancement of the economic and social welfare of workers in New Brunswick.
Nominations may come from any labour organization or a district labour council affiliated to the NBFL. Deadline for nominations is Friday January 19th, 2018.
The final choice of the Selection Committee will be announced at the Women in Leadership Gala on February 17th, 2018 in Moncton.
The Women in Leadership Gala will bring together women leaders from Unions, government and the business community. It will be open for all to attend and tickets are now on sale by contacting:

In submitting nominations for the Women in leadership award, it is important that sufficient information be provided on the sister nominated. Please complete a resume of the nominee’s union activities and an outline of her contribution to the advancement of the trade union movement.
