Keeping NB Power Public

April 7, 2026

The New Brunswick Federation of Labour (NBFL) was pleased that the final report from the NB Power Comprehensive Review recommended mainlining it as a public utility rather than privatization. This way New Brunswick controls the future of this essential service. The report also made a number of recommendations to improve decision making and transparency.

Thank you to all of the NBFL members who participated in the review process. We must remain vigilant to ensure that government does not resort to privatization of our public services, including NB power.
